About

For years now I have carried a 3b1 notebook with me to take notes, write down ideas and organise my thoughts.

Turning these thoughts and ideas into a formal collection of writing has been something I have wanted to do for a while now, but I have been procrastinating, looking for the perfect way to start, waiting for the perfect thing to write about.

As one of the quotes on my wall says

“Strive for progress, not perfection”

I just needed to start somewhere. A friend Geoff set this blog up for me and gave me helped me the push I needed to start writing. (thanks Geoff)

I knew I wanted to add to the conversation but was waiting to be more “successful”

I felt like I didn’t have anything to offer? I don’t have a university degree. In fact I dropped out of school in my first term of sixth form and went to work at McDonalds full time.

I am a typical New Zealander, a husband, father, son, brother, friend, builder, and businessman.

I am also passionate about life, learning to be as effective as possible and making the most of my time here.

It took a while to hit me that perhaps this is the exact perspective that I can share.

I just needed to start somewhere so I pictured myself having a conversation with one of my friends about life, business and adventure and then posting it here.

I hope you can find something inspirational that you can apply.

Cheers
